About the Role
The primary purpose of the position is to perform installation, inspection, maintenance, and repair of mechanical equipment such as packing pumps, valves, and pipework, including welding and operating machine tools where close tolerances are not required. Responsibilities include assisting higher‑rank mechanics by disassembling and assembling equipment, rolling and expanding tubes, repairing and resealing valves, and conducting maintenance and repair work on buildings and equipment. • Perform installation, inspection, maintenance, and repair of mechanical equipment (packing pumps, valves, pipework, welding). • Assist senior mechanics by disassembling/assembling equipment, rolling and expanding tubes, and resealing valves. • Conduct maintenance and repair work on buildings and related equipment. • Work varied shifts and obtain unescorted nuclear access.

What You Bring
Minimum qualifications include a high school diploma, passing pre‑employment testing, the ability to work different shifts, and unescorted nuclear access. Candidates must also have either an associate’s degree in a technical field or at least two years of related mechanical experience, such as military service, journeyperson pipefitter/boilermaker/millwright work, or equivalent industrial employment. • Meet minimum qualifications: high school diploma, pass pre‑employment testing, and either an associate’s degree in a technical field or two years of relevant mechanical experience (military, journeyperson, or industrial).
