About the Role

• Implement and manage drafting and plan preparation standards. • Develop technical drawings and plans, including quality checks of complex designs. • Perform multifaceted calculations with minimal supervision. • Apply engineering principles and suggest design changes. • Maintain the drawing database. • Supervise and train CAD staff. • Coordinate work activities to keep schedules and ensure quality control. • Develop familiarity with Kimley‑Horn’s practices, procedures, and standards.

What You Bring

Our Raleigh, North Carolina office is seeking a Civil Designer with over eight years of experience to join the Renewable Energy Civil team. The role focuses on civil design work for renewable energy projects in a collaborative environment. • Minimum 8 years of relevant civil design experience. • High school diploma or equivalent; associate’s degree preferred. • Ability to set up and manage printing/plotting settings. • Advanced proficiency in Autodesk or Bentley software. • Strong work ethic, interpersonal communication and writing skills, and a desire to learn. • Ability to work independently and collaboratively. • Willingness to mentor and teach others.
