Procurement Advisor

About the Role

• Develop and support procurement strategies, RFQs and sourcing for water infrastructure projects. • Lead supplier and subcontractor engagement during TOC development, including benchmarking, risk assessments and negotiations. • Expedite materials and manage procurement activities through to subcontractor handover. • Collaborate with regional procurement hubs to leverage Downer’s buying power and manage long‑lead items. • Identify, manage and report procurement‑related risks, opportunities and performance metrics.

What You Bring

Downer’s Energy & Utilities Water Services business is hiring an experienced Procurement Advisor on an 18‑month contract to support major water infrastructure programs across Queensland. Reporting to the Senior Procurement Advisor, the role will work with project teams, commercial leaders and regional procurement hubs to deliver commercial outcomes in complex environments. • Exposure to complex, high‑profile water infrastructure programs. • 5+ years’ procurement experience in utilities, infrastructure or capital projects (Tier 1 preferred). • Strong commercial and contractual acumen across complex procurement packages. • Ability to engage confidently with suppliers, subcontractors and internal stakeholders. • Proven experience in fast‑paced, deadline‑driven project environments. • Proactive, detail‑oriented and solutions‑focused approach.
