About the Role
The Driver – CDL (B) safely operates a collection truck, delivering prompt and courteous waste removal services while adhering to all company, state, and federal regulations. The role includes ensuring the vehicle meets safety standards before each shift, completing daily vehicle condition reports, and maintaining operational readiness to minimize downtime. • Perform pre‑ and post‑operation vehicle inspections (tire pressure, fluid levels, safety equipment). • Safely operate the collection truck along assigned routes, loading and compacting refuse. • Read route sheets, follow maps, and service each customer as directed. • Interact courteously with customers, dispatchers, and coworkers. • Identify and tag unsatisfactory waste containers according to procedures. • Monitor waste for prohibited materials and clean accidental spills. • Maintain vehicle cleanliness and readiness by cleaning packer blades and truck body. • Complete route productivity sheets, vehicle condition reports (VCRs), and other required documentation. • Meet departmental productivity standards while adhering to all safety policies. • Participate actively in the Company’s ReSOP safety program.
