About the Role

The Governance Coordinator will oversee day‑to‑day governance activities across the full suite of capital‑expenditure projects, reporting to the Head of Governance. The role is central to implementing governance standards, ensuring consistent monitoring, control, reporting, and assurance of governance activities throughout the programmes. • Represent the Governance function and drive continuous improvements across all programmes. • Maintain governance processes, supporting documentation, and tools. • Define governance standards in alignment with corporate policy and Portfolio Board requirements. • Communicate regularly with team and business stakeholders to resolve issues affecting governance objectives. • Report deliverable status to stakeholders at appropriate frequency and level. • Contribute to forward planning of programme decisions, approvals, and progress tracking. • Organise stakeholder meetings, record minutes, and follow up on actions and decisions. • Implement quality‑assurance reviews for all governance outputs and papers. • Manage file and document control, maintaining a single source of truth for governance documentation. • Administer the Change Control process. • Develop, embed, and continuously improve governance processes across the Infrastructure Department’s portfolio. • Promote best practice in governance throughout the Infrastructure portfolio.

What You Bring

Candidates should have at least five years of experience in a governance function for capital projects, extensive knowledge of governance best practices and emerging industry trends, and a degree in a relevant discipline such as management or a technical field. Professional qualifications in project and programme management (e.g., MAPM, MSP) and experience with PMO functions—including schedule, risk, cost, change, and information management—are highly desirable. Key competencies include excellent communication and interpersonal skills, strong stakeholder management, adaptability to change, and the ability to deliver solutions in ambiguous environments. Proficiency with MS Office and project tools, meticulous attention to detail, and strong data‑management abilities are essential for producing high‑quality governance outputs. • 5+ years experience in governance for capital projects and programmes. • Strong knowledge of governance best practices, industry trends, and PMO functions (schedule, risk, cost, change, information management). • Degree in a relevant discipline (management or technical); professional qualification such as MAPM or MSP preferred. • Proven ability to produce monthly progress reports and manage data trackers. • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for stakeholder engagement. • Adaptable to change, able to manage ambiguity and deliver effective solutions. • Proficient in MS Office and project management tools; highly organized with strong attention to detail.
