About the Role

The Assistant Real Estate Manager will support the Real Estate Manager in overseeing a portfolio of commercial office, retail, and industrial properties, emphasizing superior service for tenants, owners, and building stakeholders. This role involves coordinating maintenance, managing financials, and ensuring compliance with lease terms while contributing to budgeting, reporting, and strategic planning. • Respond to tenant needs and coordinate maintenance repairs • Maintain positive tenant relationships and high retention levels • Interact regularly with property owners to meet objectives • Anticipate and address owners' concerns • Prepare accurate, timely, and complete property reports • Support budgeting, planning, and control of operating and capital expenditures • Oversee calculation and approval of special billings • Assist in preparing annual budgets, forecasts, management plans, monthly performance and variance reports, and explain variances • Conduct regular property inspections and recommend maintenance or reconditioning • Contract and supervise vendor services, understanding tenant and capital improvements • Coordinate tenant move‑ins, move‑outs, and walkthroughs with improvement teams • Oversee rent collection, expense payments, lease compliance, and legal notices; coordinate legal action as needed • Reconcile monthly tenant work order billings • Participate in civic and business organizations; attend BOMA and/or IREM programs • Maintain relationships with key clients, industry associations, government agencies, and vendors for overall property management • Analyze and interpret complex business documents • Write correspondence, reports, and tenant newsletters • Deliver effective presentations to internal teams, clients, or management • Solve problems and evaluate options in varied situations • Effectively manage vendor and broker relationships

What You Bring

Candidates should have a bachelor’s degree (preferred) and at least two years of relevant experience, with strong analytical, quantitative, and communication skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel is required, and familiarity with Yardi or 360 Facilities software is a plus.
