About the Role

The Laborer performs manual labor tasks associated with many facets of the construction job site. They are responsible for producing high quality work safely and productively at all times, and providing feedback to ensure all materials, tools, equipment and information are available for the work. The Laborer looks for opportunities for improvement in tasks, methods, and is willing to learn from others, while learning and understanding all safety hazards and how to safely and effectively use or operate work‑related tools and equipment. The role may be in a plant operations or construction jobsite setting. • Perform general clean‑up • Dig footings with hand tools • Load and unload materials • Strip concrete forms • Operate power tools, such as vibrators, compactors, jackhammers, or chipping guns • Clean and prepare sites, dig trenches, set braces to support the sides of excavations, clean up rubble and debris • Assist other craft workers as needed

What You Bring

The position requires the ability to push, pull, lift or carry up to 50 lb regularly and up to 100 lb occasionally. Workers must repeatedly use their hands, arms and legs, possess good hand‑eye coordination and be able to communicate effectively to work safely. They must be capable of performing tasks ranging from sedentary to heavy work, operating hand and power tools with proper training, and climbing or balancing on steel/wood frameworks, stairs, ladders and scaffolds. The role also involves frequent bending, twisting, crawling, kneeling, squatting, reaching overhead, and standing on uneven, muddy, or loose surfaces, and may require work in confined spaces, adverse weather, or with respiratory protection. The Laborer must be able to talk and communicate effectively with management and supervision, work at varying tempos, and maintain concentration amid distractions. Decision‑making skills and attention to detail are necessary, as the individual must remember, examine, and observe details.
