About the Role
The position involves a variety of manual tasks on an industrial construction site, such as moving and retrieving equipment, operating fire safety equipment, and performing work as directed by supervisors or journeymen. • Move, dig, retrieve, and position equipment using rigging, hoisting devices, and industrial hand/power tools. • Operate fire extinguishers and stand by for fire safety as needed. • Climb onto structures, ladders, and scaffolding, following fall‑protection protocols. • Perform preventative maintenance, including lubrication and repair of worn parts. • Follow directions from supervisors or journeymen.

What You Bring
Employees must be proficient with industrial hand and power tools, possess basic mechanical knowledge, and demonstrate strong problem‑solving, communication, and teamwork abilities while adhering to Zachry’s safety values. The role requires extensive physical activity, including standing, walking, climbing ladders or scaffolding, and lifting up to 50 lb, and it must be performed in all weather conditions while wearing the prescribed personal protective equipment. No direct reports are assigned to this position, and there are no mandatory certifications; reliable transportation and flexibility to work any day of the week are essential. • Meet all physical demands (standing, walking, bending, lifting up to 50 lb, working at heights). • Wear required PPE: hard hat, safety glasses, ear plugs, respirator, hi‑vis vest, gloves, steel‑toe boots. • Possess basic mechanical knowledge and experience on an industrial construction site. • Demonstrate good reading comprehension, problem‑solving, manual dexterity, and communication skills. • Have reliable transportation and be available to work any of the 7 days as required. • Preferred: Zachry ROF’ed or former Zachry employee.
