About the Role

The Test Technician II navigates multiple servers to locate material, reads electronic schematics from component level up to complete modules, and consults machinery manuals and technical documents to troubleshoot equipment issues. They review Bills of Materials to identify common SMT parts, collaborate with manufacturing and engineering to assemble and replace components, and interpret mechanical drawings for both discrete PCB components and full assemblies. Additionally, they perform hand soldering of through‑hole and SMT components, rework fine‑pitch parts using microscopes and specialized stations, and troubleshoot circuits with test equipment down to the discrete component level. They also maintain an organized and clean workbench. • Locate materials across various servers for assignments. • Read and interpret electronic schematics from component to module level. • Consult machinery manuals and technical documents to troubleshoot equipment processes. • Review Bills of Materials to identify SMT parts and coordinate with manufacturing/engineering for component assembly and replacement. • Interpret mechanical drawings for PCB components and full module assemblies. • Hand‑solder through‑hole and SMT components and modules. • Perform fine‑pitch (0402/0201) rework using microscopes and BGA/Flip Chip stations (PACE, Dragon, etc.). • Troubleshoot through‑hole and surface‑mount PCBs with test equipment down to the discrete component level. • Keep the work area and technical bench organized and clean.
