About the Role
The Site Manager will plan on‑site activities with the Project Manager, coordinate resources, equipment and milestones, and act as the primary on‑site representative. Responsibilities include overseeing construction targets, health and safety compliance, equipment handling, risk assessments and method statements, as well as managing sub‑contractors and maintaining up‑to‑date documentation. Regular reporting on health, safety, environment, quality, progress and cost to the Project Manager is required. • Plan on‑site activities with the Project Manager, allocating resources and setting milestones. • Coordinate construction targets, health and safety standards, and site organization with customers and external partners. • Manage the site from hand‑over to final hand‑over, overseeing start‑up, construction, erection, testing and commissioning. • Serve as the on‑site project representative and maintain effective stakeholder relationships. • Ensure proper handling, storage and installation of equipment to prevent damage. • Report deliveries to project logistics promptly upon receipt. • Maintain up‑to‑date RAMS compliant with the health‑safety plan for each work package. • Train on‑site resources and promote health, safety and environment considerations among partners. • Control site costs, monitor spend versus forecast, and estimate final project cost. • Keep documentation current, manage the document handling system, and use latest revisions. • Supervise sub‑contractors to achieve quality, progress and delivery dates. • Provide regular reports on HSE, quality, progress and cost to the Project Manager.

What You Bring
Candidates must have proven experience as a Health, Safety and Environment Manager and a strong knowledge of Irish health‑and‑safety legislation. A bachelor’s degree in electrical or mechanical engineering (or equivalent) and at least five years of site‑management experience in construction or installation are required. Strong organisational, leadership and communication skills, an understanding of transmission regulations, and a collaborative, solution‑oriented approach are essential. • Demonstrated experience as a Health, Safety and Environment Manager with knowledge of Irish legislation. • Bachelor’s degree in electrical or mechanical engineering or equivalent qualifications. • Minimum five years of site‑manager experience in construction or installation environments. • Strong organisational, leadership and communication skills in regulated settings. • Understanding of transmission regulations and current HSE legislation. • Collaborative, solution‑oriented leadership style with proactive flexibility. • Robust health‑and‑safety culture with extensive training and development programmes.
