About the Role

The Hygiene Executive leads the creation, implementation, and monitoring of comprehensive hygiene and sanitation programs across facilities. This role ensures compliance with health regulations while maintaining high standards of cleanliness and safety for employees, visitors, and building occupants. The position covers program development, compliance management, vendor oversight, and performance reporting. Responsibilities include designing cleaning schedules, implementing infection‑control measures, establishing quality‑control checkpoints, conducting audits, coordinating with health inspectors, managing contractors, providing staff training, selecting suppliers, handling budgets, and producing reports on program effectiveness. • Develop and implement facility-wide hygiene protocols and standard operating procedures. • Design cleaning schedules and maintenance programs for optimal hygiene standards. • Implement infection control measures and biosafety protocols. • Establish hygiene monitoring systems and quality‑control checkpoints. • Ensure compliance with local health department regulations, OSHA standards, and industry requirements. • Conduct regular hygiene audits, inspections, and maintain compliance documentation. • Coordinate with external health inspectors and regulatory bodies. • Oversee performance of cleaning contractors and housekeeping staff. • Provide training on hygiene protocols, chemical handling, and safety procedures. • Evaluate and select hygiene suppliers and equipment; manage related budgets and procurement. • Conduct facility inspections, investigate incidents, and prepare effectiveness reports. • Track key performance indicators related to cleanliness and sanitation. • Lead and manage teams with cultural sensitivity and professional discretion.

What You Bring

Candidates must hold a bachelor’s degree in environmental health, public health, chemistry, or a related discipline, with professional certifications preferred. Three to five years of experience in hygiene or facilities management, familiarity with HACCP, ISO 14001, and regulatory audit processes, and proficiency with cleaning chemicals, disinfectants, and monitoring tools are required. Preferred background includes experience in commercial real‑estate, healthcare, or food‑service environments and certifications such as REHS. The role values expertise in green cleaning, crisis‑management hygiene protocols, strong attention to detail, clear communication, analytical problem‑solving, independent work, leadership, cultural sensitivity, and professional discretion. The job is based on‑site in Bengaluru, Karnataka, with a scheduled 54‑hour work week.
