About the Role
The position involves work on mechanical and electrical control systems and instruments used in power generation, including combustion equipment and turbines. • Assist senior instrument mechanics in troubleshooting control systems and instruments for combustion equipment, turbines, chlorinators, water treatment, and auxiliary plant equipment. • Inspect, clean, adjust, calibrate, and repair instruments such as manometers, gauges, flow meters, and thermometers. • Test electronic tubes and replace defective amplifier units.

What You Bring
Applicants must have a high school diploma, be able to pass pre‑employment testing, work rotating shifts, obtain unescorted nuclear access, and demonstrate strong communication, teamwork, and organizational skills. Relevant technical experience or education in electronics, military maintenance, or nuclear power plant instrumentation is also required. • High school diploma required. • Pass pre‑employment testing and obtain unescorted nuclear access. • Ability to work rotating shifts. • Demonstrate excellent communication, teamwork, and organizational abilities. • One of the following: associate’s degree in electronics; 2 years military electronics maintenance; 2 years specialized power‑plant instrument training as a Navy Nuclear Electronic Technician; or 2 years as an instrumentation and controls technician in an industrial facility.
