About the Role
The Pipefitter is responsible for planning, laying out, and performing all types of pipe fitting and fabrication work in accordance with applicable plans, specifications, codes, and industry standards. The role may also involve work in other crafts as appropriate to training and skill level, and requires taking direction from higher‑skilled workers or foremen. Key duties include sharing knowledge and teaching others, eliminating waste such as waiting and rework, applying strong trade mathematics, and inspecting subordinates' work for accuracy and compliance. The employee must continuously look for improvements, maintain positive crew relationships, communicate effectively, produce high‑quality work safely and productively, and provide feedback to ensure necessary materials, tools, equipment, and information are available. • Eliminate waste (waiting, rework, transport, storage, time). • Apply high proficiency in trade mathematics. • Inspect subordinates' work for accuracy and compliance; correct deficiencies. • Maintain positive relationships with crew members. • Produce high‑quality work safely and productively. • Provide feedback to ensure necessary materials, tools, equipment, and information are available. • Read and interpret drawings, specifications, safety and quality standards; use trade tools and equipment. • Perform physical tasks such as reaching, stooping, climbing, and lifting up to 50 lb; work up to 12‑hour shifts in varying conditions. • Work is safety‑sensitive, involving operation of equipment, vehicles, and handling hazardous materials. • Participate in Employee Stock Ownership Plan and 401(k).

What You Bring
Qualifications require the ability to read and interpret drawings, specifications, safety and quality standards, and to use all relevant trade tools and equipment. Candidates must have three to six or more years of experience in industrial/commercial construction with an in‑depth understanding of the pipefitter trade, and possess effective verbal and written communication skills. Physical demands include wearing required personal protective equipment, frequent reaching, stooping, and climbing, occasional lifting of up to 50 lb, and the ability to work up to 12‑hour shifts in varying temperatures and conditions. The position is safety‑sensitive, requiring compliance with all safety standards and procedures while operating equipment, handling hazardous materials, and working in confined or uneven spaces. • Communicate effectively in verbal and written forms. • Possess 3‑6+ years of industrial/commercial construction experience with in‑depth pipefitter knowledge.
