Job Highlights
About the Role
Drivers operate heavy‑duty trucks equipped with various lift attachments and transport waste or recyclable containers to disposal, transfer, or recycling facilities. Commercial drivers handle large containers, residential drivers collect household waste, and roll‑off drivers manage large open‑top containers, all requiring skilled backing maneuvers and navigation of congested roads, alleyways, and tight spaces. • Operate vehicles in compliance with WM Safety, OSHA, DOT, and all applicable laws. • Complete pre‑ and post‑trip vehicle inspections and submit DVIR reports. • Report unsafe conditions, incidents, accidents, or service issues to management or dispatch immediately. • Attend required training programs, briefings, and meetings. • Collaborate with Operations Manager to improve route efficiency and share best practices. • Communicate customer requests and service interruptions to Operations Manager or Dispatch. • Safely load, transport, and unload waste or recyclable containers, leaving sites clean and debris‑free. • Follow assigned routes, complete end‑of‑day documentation, and assist fellow drivers as needed. • Perform physical tasks such as standing, walking, lifting, pushing, pulling, crouching, reaching, handling, sitting, talking, and hearing.

What You Bring
