About the Role
The Maintenance Director oversees and performs upkeep of all building systems, manages preventative maintenance in a 24/7 environment, ensures fire and safety compliance, and handles grounds maintenance. Using TELS, the director tracks service requests, prepares resident rooms with various trade skills, maintains the MSDS program, and supervises a small staff to meet daily goals while staying within budget and collaborating with other department heads. • Oversee maintenance of all building systems and grounds in a 24/7 environment. • Manage preventative maintenance programs and ensure compliance with fire and safety regulations. • Use TELS to dispatch, track, and resolve maintenance service requests. • Perform skilled work (plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting) to prepare resident rooms. • Maintain the MSDS program and oversee life‑safety planning for drills and emergencies. • Supervise and develop a small maintenance team to achieve daily goals. • Control department budget and collaborate with other department heads.

What You Bring
The ideal candidate shares the organization’s values of character, gratitude, purpose, and heart, and brings at least five years of progressive maintenance experience—preferably in senior care—along with knowledge of electrical, plumbing, carpentry, PTAC repair, and HVAC systems. Additional qualifications include budget management, hazardous‑materials handling, life‑safety planning, leadership abilities, and a valid driver’s license with a clean record. • Possess a high school diploma/equivalent and at least 5 years of progressive maintenance experience. • Demonstrated expertise in PTAC repair; HVAC certification preferred. • Experience managing budgets and handling hazardous‑material compliance. • Strong leadership, training, and motivational skills. • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
