About the Role
Reporting to a Project Engineer or Engineer, the incumbent assists with engineering and project administration, ensuring timely information flow and accurate documentation. The role supports material release, information distribution, and preparation of project close‑out records while performing other assigned duties. • Obtain and review approvals for shop drawings, product data, and samples; communicate information across all project team levels. • Manage submission and responses for Requests for Information (RFIs). • Prepare estimates for work changes and review subcontractor change order requests. • Study contract, specification, and shop drawings to ensure proper coordination and installation. • Maintain and update contract documents, electronic files, and project logs. • Distribute construction information to appropriate parties. • Assist engineering in releasing materials and equipment for timely fabrication or manufacture. • Prepare final project close‑out records, including Operations/Maintenance manuals and related documentation.

What You Bring
Turner’s National Self Perform Operations team is offering entry‑level positions through 2026 across various regions. The roles are based in Haskell, TX and involve 100 % travel. These positions are salaried non‑exempt, require a bachelor’s degree, and span engineering, superintending, surveying, quality control, and cost functions within the Special Projects Division or other business units. Candidates should have at least two years of college education in engineering, construction, or a related field, strong interpersonal and communication skills, and a demonstrated initiative to learn. Proficiency with Microsoft Office, data‑entry tools, and basic knowledge of scheduling software is desired. The position involves regular office or remote work with occasional site visits and travel. Physical requirements include frequent sitting, computer use, and the ability to lift up to 25 lb regularly and up to 50 lb occasionally. Employees must comply with safety policies and may be exposed to typical construction site hazards. • Two years of college education in engineering, construction, or a related field. • Building construction or engineering experience preferred. • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work within a team. • Demonstrated initiative, desire to learn, and effective verbal and written communication. • Proficient with computer applications, data entry, and the Microsoft Office suite. • Basic understanding of scheduling programs (desired).
