What You Bring
The Electrical Technician position is located in Mt. Vernon, MO, within the MP Mount Vernon Business Unit, reporting to the Finish Supervisor. The role focuses on electrical diagnostics and wiring of conveyors in a manufacturing environment. Candidates must be eligible to work in the USA; relocation is not offered. Minimum qualifications include a high school diploma or equivalent, with an associate’s degree or certificate in Electrical Technology preferred. Candidates should have 2–4 years of experience working with electrical systems, be fluent in English, and hold a certificate in Electrical Technology. A state electrical license and PLC experience are advantageous. The position demands knowledge of 3‑phase and 12/24 VDC control systems, the ability to read schematics and engineering drawings, and experience with electric system installation in high‑volume production. Familiarity with automotive electrical and hydraulic schematics, industrial machine systems, and hydraulic pumps and valves is preferred. Required skills include strong teamwork, excellent verbal and written communication, adaptability to fluid priorities, and a high level of integrity and honesty. The successful candidate will demonstrate a “can‑do” attitude, perseverance, and strong listening and problem‑solving abilities. • Read and interpret electrical drawings and schematics. • High school diploma required; associate’s degree or certificate in Electrical Technology preferred. • 2–4 years of experience with electrical systems in a high‑volume manufacturing environment. • State electrical license and PLC experience preferred. • Knowledge of 3‑phase and 12/24 VDC control systems, automotive electrical/hydraulic schematics, and industrial machine systems. • Ability to install and wire electric systems on plant equipment. • Strong teamwork and communication skills, both verbal and written. • Adaptability to changing priorities and ability to meet deadlines. • Excellent listening and problem‑solving abilities.
