About the Role
The role involves complex preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of a wide variety of equipment, including trucks and yellow‑iron machinery. Technicians are expected to uphold high safety standards while delivering reliable service. • Repair various equipment such as bulldozers, scrapers, backhoes, loaders, trucks, tractors, forklifts, and company cars. • Diagnose and repair differentials, hydraulic systems, motors, transmissions, drives, AC systems, and electrical systems. • Perform preventative maintenance tasks according to checklists. • Complete records including work orders, card files, PM checklists, and oil samples. • Service and maintain equipment like light plants, water pumps, welders, and other tools. • Follow site‑specific procedures and detailed job descriptions.

What You Bring
Successful performance requires the ability to complete each essential duty satisfactorily, and other minor duties may be assigned as needed. The employee must follow site‑specific procedures and detailed job descriptions. Applicants need at least one year of heavy‑equipment diesel maintenance experience and a valid driver’s license with a clean record; no formal education is required. The role emphasizes practical skills over academic credentials. Candidates must be proficient in using tools, diagnosing and repairing a range of equipment, and communicating repair needs effectively. Experience with fleet maintenance software and knowledge of the Total Tire Maintenance Program are advantageous. The position may require air travel or access to federal property; therefore, candidates must have a REAL ID or an acceptable TSA‑approved alternative, or be willing to obtain one.
