About the Role
The role is for an ECC NEC Project Manager working within the capital delivery team for a utilities provider in the eastern geographic area. The manager will oversee multiple water and water‑recycling projects under the client's AMP8 programme, ensuring adherence to project governance, risk, cost and change‑control procedures. The position requires ownership of projects throughout their life cycle, preparation and maintenance of project management plans, and proactive monitoring of progress, inter‑dependencies and risks. It also involves driving design development, conducting surveys, managing NEC3/4 contract administration, and ensuring delivery on time, to quality standards and within budget. • Deliver multiple water and water‑recycling projects within the AMP8 programme, following governance, risk, cost and change‑control processes. • Manage project delivery from inception, design, procurement to construction, meeting agreed milestones. • Own the full project lifecycle, from concept to handover and close‑out. • Prepare, update and monitor project management plans, track progress, inter‑dependencies and mitigate risks. • Lead design development, conduct surveys and site visits, and produce works information aligned with the business case. • Administer NEC3/4 contracts, including payments, EWN, NCEs and defect management. • Ensure compliance with environmental, CDM 2015, health‑and‑safety, water quality and statutory standards. • Conduct regular reviews, inspections and audits, and manage contractor performance. • Liaise with third‑party stakeholders for planning applications, land access, and power supply negotiations. • Manage project budgets, identify risks and implement mitigation strategies. • Lead design and consultant teams collaboratively to achieve project KPIs. • Utilize digital tools such as Oracle and Primavera P6 for programme and financial management. • Execute ECC PM delegations: assess disallowed costs, issue completion and defect certificates, manage change and early‑warning meetings. • Serve as a quorate member on portfolio boards, overseeing governance and change requests. • Perform client assurance activities including final account reviews and Tier 2 contract assessments.

What You Bring
