About the Role

The role includes performing content restoration for residential and commercial properties, conducting physical cleanup, packing, HVAC cleaning, and deodorization, as well as managing inventory, setting up emergency service equipment, and safely handling hazardous materials. It also involves operating tools, routine equipment inspections, warehouse and building maintenance, and work at heights using ladders or scaffolding. • Perform content restoration work on residential and commercial properties. • Conduct physical labor for cleanup, packing, on‑site cleaning, HVAC cleaning, and deodorization. • Assist with inventory, set up emergency service equipment, and prepare and store contents. • Follow safety rules, regulations, guidelines, policies, and site‑specific safety plans while wearing protective gear. • Operate routinely used tools and equipment. • Perform routine inspection and preventative maintenance on assigned equipment. • Maintain warehouse, stock supplies, and handle building maintenance. • Perform work at heights using ladders and scaffolding. • Handle hazardous waste operations.

What You Bring

The Restoration Technician works as part of a team to provide emergency services and content restoration, adhering to company policies, EPA, OSHA, and local safety regulations. They must be available for after‑hours and weekend emergency response, and additional qualifications may arise as needed. The technician must be proficient with basic math calculations—addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, fractions, and decimals—and be able to compute rates, ratios, and percentages. They must read and interpret safety rules, operating manuals, and write routine reports while speaking effectively to customers and staff. The work environment is typically dirty, dusty, noisy, on uneven surfaces, and may involve hazardous substances, extreme weather, and the use of personal protective equipment. The position requires frequent travel, the ability to wear full or half‑face respirators, work in confined spaces, and regularly lift and carry up to 75 pounds while meeting OSHA HAZWOPER medical clearance. Candidates need a high school diploma or equivalent and 2–4 years of construction experience on water/fire damage projects, including environmental and hazardous waste work. Required certifications include a current environmental physical, OSHA 40‑hour HAZWOPER, a valid driver’s license, and forklift certification. Preferred qualifications are construction industry background, IICRC Water Restoration certification, heavy‑equipment experience, a positive attitude, strong work ethic, good communication, legal eligibility to work in the U.S., and bilingual English/Spanish ability as a plus. • High School Diploma or equivalent. • 2–4 years construction experience on water/fire damage jobs, including environmental and hazardous waste work. • Valid environmental physical enabling respirator use. • OSHA 40‑hour HAZWOPER certification. • Current state driver’s license. • Forklift operator certification. • Positive attitude, strong work ethic, and ability to follow directions. • Good communication skills and commitment to company safety policy. • Legally eligible to work in the United States. • Bilingual English/Spanish ability encouraged (optional).
