About the Role

The role involves designing, implementing, verifying and commissioning the MACH control system to meet customer requirements, while managing schedule, budget and quality of deliverables for the control scope. You will work closely with other engineering groups, the project manager, local ABB offices and customers during factory acceptance testing and commissioning, and will travel to sites to support commissioning activities. Additional duties include designing and testing control logics, hardware integration, interfacing with RTDS, documenting test records and ensuring compliance with internal and external regulations. • Design, implement, verify, and commission the MACH control system to meet customer specifications. • Manage schedule, budget, and quality for the control scope throughout project execution. • Coordinate with engineering teams, project manager, ABB offices, and customers during FAT and commissioning. • Travel to sites to support MACH system commissioning and testing. • Develop and test control logics; integrate hardware and interface with RTDS. • Conduct factory acceptance tests, document test records, and ensure regulatory compliance. • Uphold Hitachi Energy’s core values of safety and integrity.

What You Bring

Candidates should hold a master’s degree in Power Systems or Power Electronics and have at least three years of experience in designing and testing PI/PID or similar control algorithms. Experience with MATLAB or real‑time simulators, knowledge of FACTS applications, and understanding of power‑system signal processing and active/reactive power concepts are required, with power‑electronics knowledge considered an advantage. Strong written and spoken English and the ability to work independently using in‑depth technical expertise are also essential. • Hold a master’s degree in Power Systems or Power Electronics. • Possess 3+ years of experience designing and testing PI/PID or similar control algorithms. • Proficient in MATLAB or real‑time simulators for control algorithm simulation. • Knowledge of FACTS applications and power‑system signal processing. • Demonstrate strong spoken and written English communication skills.
