About the Role

In this role you will operate security and access systems, maintain site surveillance, and monitor all communications across the premises. You will also provide support to the Helpdesk Service and assist the Security Supervisor as needed. The responsibilities cover a broad scope of day‑to‑day security operations. What You Bring

Downer is seeking a full‑time Security Guard to join its front‑of‑house security team. Reporting to the Security Supervisor, the guard serves as the face of Downer and helps deliver the company’s service commitment to clients. The role requires a strong work ethic, a focus on safety and quality, and a genuine passion for excellent customer service. Applicants must be Australian citizens and hold, or be able to obtain, a current Defence Security Clearance and a NSW or ACT Security Licence. A Certificate II in Security Operations, a valid NSW/ACT driver’s licence, and the ability to work a rotating roster are also required. Prior experience in the security industry is preferred, and a strong work ethic and positive attitude are essential. • Australian citizenship. • Current Defence Security Clearance or ability to obtain one. • NSW or ACT Security Licence (or ability to acquire before start). • Certificate II in Security Operations (or ability to acquire). • Valid NSW or ACT driver’s licence. • Availability to work a rotating roster. • Preferred experience in the security industry. • Strong work ethic and positive attitude.
