Transportation (Roadway) Project Manager

About the Role

• Lead roadway design projects, delivering on schedule and budget. • Mentor junior engineers while contributing to design and delivery. • Manage project scope, fees, and financials, including invoicing and reporting. • Oversee QA/QC processes to ensure quality delivery. • Manage external client relationships and expectations.

What You Bring

Work will primarily be performed in an office setting with limited exposure to adverse environmental conditions. The role requires frequent use of fingers for typing and repetitive motions, visual acuity for computer work, and the ability to sit for extended periods. Physical demands include lifting up to 30 pounds regularly and up to 50 pounds occasionally, with occasional weekend, overtime, or travel requirements. • Communicate with internal team members effectively. • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering. • NC Professional Engineer (PE) license. • Minimum 8 years of transportation roadway design experience. • Proficiency with MicroStation and GeoPak/ORD software. • Preferred experience on NCDOT projects. • Strong client management and communication abilities.
