About the Role

As a Directional Drill Operator/Locator you will support directional drilling for the installation of underground conduit and fiber optic cable, locate and operate the horizontal directional bore in partnership with the drill locator, and read utility locates to coordinate daylighting of facilities. You will also ensure the safety of the public and existing underground utilities while transporting heavy equipment to and from the job site each day. • Support directional drilling for underground conduit and fiber optic cable installation. • Locate and operate horizontal directional drilling equipment in collaboration with the drill locator. • Ensure public safety and protect existing underground utility facilities. • Read utility locates and coordinate daylighting of underground facilities. • Transport heavy equipment to and from the job site daily.

Required qualifications include at least two years of urban utility directional drilling experience, proficiency with Vermeer or Ditch Witch drills, the ability to read maps, drawings, and diagrams, and a valid Class A CDL with a clean driving record. • Minimum 2 years urban utility directional drilling experience with Vermeer or Ditch Witch rigs. • Ability to read maps, drawings, and diagrams; valid Class A CDL with clean record.
