About the Role

The Principal Construction Project Manager leads large‑scale, energy‑efficiency‑focused commercial construction projects, overseeing all phases from pre‑construction to completion. This role acts as the primary client liaison, develops subcontract and procurement documentation, and negotiates scope, terms, and conditions. Success is measured by safety, quality, schedule adherence, and cost control. Key duties include planning and directing project activities to meet time and budget targets, maintaining safe work conditions, and developing schedules, cost estimates, bill of materials, and scopes of work. The manager coordinates stakeholders, supervises implementation, controls shop drawings, submittals, change orders, RFIs, invoicing, and financial forecasting. Continuous monitoring ensures projects remain on scope, schedule, and budget. • Lead large‑scale, energy‑efficiency commercial construction projects from pre‑construction through close‑out. • Ensure safety, quality, schedule adherence, and budget compliance on all projects. • Develop project schedules, cost estimates, scopes of work, and procurement documentation. • Manage internal and external stakeholders, including subcontractors and suppliers. • Oversee shop drawings, submittals, change orders, RFIs, invoicing, and financial forecasting.

What You Bring

Applicants must hold a bachelor’s degree (or equivalent experience) and at least eight years of construction project‑management experience, including estimating and value engineering. Required credentials include an OSHA 10‑hour card, a valid driver’s license, and eligibility for a Federal HSPD‑12 security clearance. Proficiency in English, Primavera or similar scheduling software, Microsoft Office, and the ability to read mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and architectural drawings are essential. Preferred candidates bring ten years of commercial construction management experience, a bachelor’s in engineering, and a PMP certification. Experience with state or federal government projects, managing multiple prime subcontractors, and design‑build contracts is valued. An OSHA 30‑hour certification and a strong background in coordinating large, complex construction efforts further differentiate applicants. • Require a bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) and 8+ years of construction project‑management experience. • Hold OSHA 10‑hour certification, a valid driver’s license, and eligibility for a Federal HSPD‑12 clearance. • Proficient in Primavera, Microsoft Office, and interpreting mechanical/electrical/plumbing/architectural drawings. • Preferred: 10 years of commercial construction management, PMP certification, OSHA 30‑hour, and design‑build contract experience.
