About the Role

The Mechanical Engineer (Switchboards) is responsible for engineering customer orders, including detailed review of layout, equipment application, wiring and component selection, component layout, and 3D CAD modeling, and supports all phases of order management from the initial engineering review through production shipment. Key duties include verifying complete and accurate order entry information for incoming switchboard orders, preparing Manufacturing Information (MI) using Bid Manager, AutoCAD, and Plant Order Manager, and designing special fabricated parts with ACAD and 3‑D modeling systems such as Inventor. Additional responsibilities involve providing input to product line development teams on design and pick‑table enhancements, supporting assembly teams in resolving process or information quality issues, assisting satellite plants through design reviews and product implementation, and collaborating effectively with team members. • Verify complete and accurate order entry information for incoming switchboard orders. • Prepare Manufacturing Information (MI) using Bid Manager, AutoCAD, and Plant Order Manager. • Design special fabricated parts with ACAD and 3‑D modeling tools such as Inventor and route materials to assembly teams. • Provide design and pick‑table enhancement input to product line development teams. • Assist assembly teams in resolving process or information quality problems. • Support satellite plants through design reviews and product implementation.

What You Bring

Candidates must have a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering from an accredited institution (or be enrolled with an expected graduation date of May 2026) and be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship. They should also have experience with MRP/ERP systems, proficiency in Microsoft Office and Autodesk AutoCAD/3D Inventor, technical knowledge of switchboards, and strong verbal and written communication, organizational, and computer skills. • Collaborate effectively within team environments. • Hold a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (or be enrolled with expected graduation by May 2026). • Be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship. • Experience with MRP/ERP systems. • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint). • Proficient in Autodesk AutoCAD and 3D Inventor. • Technical knowledge of switchboards. • Strong verbal and written communication, organizational, and computer skills.
