About the Role

The Facilities Manager will be the single point of contact responsible for facilities management, assisting the Regional Program Manager and the Facility Management team with the delivery of quality services through a team of Facilities Supervisors and Operating Engineers. This role will coordinate and manage service delivery to ensure stakeholder satisfaction at assigned facilities, specifically overseeing operations across multiple public schools in Chicago’s Bridgeport neighborhood. • Serve as primary contact for facilities management across multiple Chicago public schools. • Support Regional Program Manager in delivering facility services and manage relationships with principals, network chiefs, and CPS teams. • Coordinate budget and funding priorities with CPS facilities department and engineering leaders. • Develop and implement programs to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and boost productivity. • Monitor performance against SLAs, KPIs, and conduct quality inspections. • Use data‑driven decision making to resolve issues and maintain service quality. • Oversee facilities support team and third‑party contracts to ensure high‑quality service delivery. • Ensure all equipment, work orders, and conditions are tracked in the CMMS and monitored via assessment programs. • Provide staff development, handle escalations, and act as key liaison for client site leadership. • Create annual management plans, generate regular client reports, and deliver training for the support team.

What You Bring

Required qualifications include a bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in facilities management with a management emphasis, 8+ years of industry experience in K‑12, higher education, corporate, or consulting environments, and strong knowledge of facility services, real estate, accounting, and building systems. Excellent communication, customer service, and computer skills are essential, as is experience with CMMS, Microsoft Office, and building systems. Preferred credentials are Certified Facility Manager (CFM) or Facilities Management Professional (FMP) and experience in budgeting and financial analysis.
