About the Role
The Senior Environmental Compliance Specialist will lead the oversight and risk mitigation for a multi‑billion‑dollar complex construction program. The position provides Owner Agent Construction Management Services, encompassing program management, risk management, scheduling, cost estimating, quality assurance, safety, and other supporting functions. Travel of 25‑40% across several regions is expected, with significant time spent on‑site observing conditions and contractor activities. Key duties include developing and implementing environmental management plans, coordinating with regulatory agencies, municipalities, and stakeholders, and ensuring contractors possess all required federal, state, and local permits. What You Bring
Candidates must hold a Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science or a related field and possess at least eight years of relevant experience. Proven expertise in regulatory compliance, stakeholder coordination, and familiarity with environmental standards and approval processes are required. Strong written and oral communication skills, the ability to pass a background check, and eligibility for a DHS suitability determination are also essential. • Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science or related discipline. • Minimum 8 years of relevant environmental compliance experience. • Proven expertise in regulatory compliance and stakeholder coordination. • Deep knowledge of environmental standards, procedures, and approval processes. • Experience managing permitting and construction compliance monitoring. • Excellent written and oral communication skills. • Ability to pass a background check and obtain DHS suitability determination.
