About the Role
This position is responsible for installing complex integrated security systems, which includes wiring, equipment installation, and programming of access control systems, CCTV, digital and network recorders, and intercom systems for clients. The technician must install cabling and equipment enclosures according to the National Electric Code and company guidelines, use electronic test equipment to troubleshoot issues, and interpret blueprints, schematics, and software programs while performing system checks and completing required documentation. • Install integrated security systems, including access control, CCTV, and intercom components. • Lay and terminate cabling, mount equipment enclosures, and adhere to NEC standards. • Troubleshoot installations using electronic test equipment. • Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and software programs. • Perform system checks, adjust or replace inoperative equipment, and verify operation. • Complete and submit all required job paperwork and documentation. • Conduct end‑user training on installed systems. • Maintain a clean driving record and operate a company truck as needed.

What You Bring
Strong computer literacy, knowledge of CCTV and access control systems, and the ability to plan, organize, and prioritize work are essential, as is effective oral and written communication, independent work habits, and the capacity to train end users. Applicants need a high school diploma or GED with an A+ certification, at least three years of experience in digital/analog camera and access control systems, two years with IP‑addressable devices, advanced TCP/IP networking skills, a clean driving record, and relevant certifications; an associate degree, technical school graduation, or apprenticeship is preferred, and additional qualifications such as MCSE, CCNA, or intrusion detection experience are a plus. • Hold A+ certification and at least three years of experience with camera and access control systems. • Possess advanced TCP/IP networking skills and experience with IP‑addressable devices. • Earn certifications in access control (minimum three), analog CCTV (minimum one), and IP CCTV (minimum one). • Preferred: Associate degree, technical school graduate, or apprenticeship; additional expertise in MCSE, CCNA, intrusion detection, or security gate systems.
