About the Role

• Lead structural design of new bridges and rehabilitation of existing bridges. • Coordinate structural engineering activities with other disciplines and the Project/Design Manager. • Develop structural scope, work plans, and schedules aligned with project goals. • Review and approve design calculations, drawings, specifications, and cost estimates. • Manage and mentor teams of engineers, designers, and specialists with minimal supervision. • Ensure QA/QC procedures are applied and respond to client comments on structural deliverables. • Prepare technical specifications and construction cost estimates. • Anticipate budget and schedule impacts and propose alternative actions. • Support marketing efforts, proposal preparation, and participate in interview processes. • Incorporate innovative design solutions and delivery methods.

What You Bring

Candidates must hold a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, a Professional Engineer license, and at least six years of transportation structures experience. Preferred qualifications include ten-plus years of design work, a Master’s in Structural Engineering, PE reciprocity, PennDOT or State DOT project experience, and proficiency with CAD and alternative delivery methods. • Minimum: Bachelor’s in Civil Engineering, PE license, 6+ years in transportation structures. • Preferred: 10+ years design experience, Master’s in Structural Engineering, PE reciprocity, PennDOT/State DOT project experience, CAD proficiency, experience with alternative delivery methods.
