Ventia are currently seeking an Engineering cadet to join their Transport Infrastructure team in Whangarei. Successful applicants will commence a bonded cadetship within Ventia as an Engineering Cadet and be required to complete a Diploma in Engineering (Civil). Candidates must meet one of several qualification pathways, such as a minimum of 48 level‑2 credits (including 12 in Mathematics), equivalent international qualifications, or relevant trade credits and experience. Additional requirements include physical fitness, the ability to work independently and as part of a team, a positive attitude with a strong commitment to health and safety, and a current restricted or full NZ driver’s licence capable of operating a manual vehicle. • Minimum 48 level‑2 credits across four subjects, including 12 credits in Mathematics. • Equivalent qualifications such as International Baccalaureate or Cambridge. • Equivalent credits from relevant trades training or proven skills and experience. • Physically fit. • Able to work unsupervised and as a team member. • Positive attitude with demonstrated commitment to health and safety. • Hold a current restricted or full NZ driver’s licence and be able to drive manual vehicles.
