About the Role
The HR Business Partner acts as a strategic advisor to leadership, handling complex employee‑relations issues, supporting classification, salary reviews, bonuses, and performance development, and facilitating integration for new hires at all career stages. The partner also drives culture‑building initiatives, manages leaves, accommodations, workers’ compensation, ensures compliance with employment laws, leverages HRIS data for continuous improvement, and collaborates with regional HR teams while mentoring colleagues. • Advise leaders on HR strategy and provide expert guidance on policy matters. • Lead complex employee‑relations cases, including conflict resolution and performance management. • Partner with leadership on classification, salary reviews, bonus programs, and performance development. • Support onboarding and integration for hires from college graduates to senior partners. • Drive initiatives that enhance culture, engagement, morale, productivity, and retention. • Manage employee leaves, ADA accommodations, and workers’ compensation processes. • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and mitigate risks. • Analyze HRIS data to recommend continuous‑improvement actions. • Develop and facilitate training programs across the organization. • Mentor and coach HR team members to improve effectiveness.

What You Bring
The position requires strong knowledge of HR management practices and California employment law, excellent communication, analytical, organizational, conflict‑resolution, and coaching abilities, and the capacity to manage a diverse workload with discretion and confidentiality. Candidates must hold a bachelor’s (or master’s) degree in Human Resources or a related field, possess at least six years of progressive HR generalist experience—including employee‑relations leadership—and preferably have multi‑office, professional‑services, and UltiPro UKG exposure. Certifications such as PHR/SPHR or SHRM‑CP/SCP are preferred, along with proficiency in Microsoft Office and HRIS systems. • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Human Resources or related field. • Minimum 6 + years HR generalist experience with employee‑relations leadership. • Proven ability to support employees across multiple offices/geographies. • Ability to travel, including occasional overnight trips. • Proficiency with Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel, PowerPoint; comfort learning HRIS. • PHR/SPHR or SHRM‑CP/SCP certification preferred. • Experience with UltiPro UKG and professional‑services environments preferred.
