About the Role
The US East region is seeking a Regional Business Development Leader who will work closely with the Regional General Manager to craft a region‑specific strategic growth plan and ensure annual business and growth objectives are achieved. This role oversees the execution of the plan across markets, sectors, and client portfolios. The position can be based in any of GHD’s eastern US offices and involves managing market leaders, relationship managers, and metro portfolio managers. The leader will set and track objectives and KPIs, coach staff, and coordinate with market, sector, and business‑group leaders to align strategic growth. • Maintain up‑to‑date regional opportunities in Salesforce and deliver regular pipeline briefings to leadership. • Expand and maintain the client base in line with regional, market, and business‑group strategies. • Cultivate long‑term client relationships to generate new project opportunities and diversify services. • Gather industry intelligence on upcoming client programs and capital spending to position for MSAs and contracts. • Develop partnerships with consultants, engineering firms, and contractors for joint‑venture and design‑build opportunities. • Represent GHD at networking events, professional associations, conferences, and trade shows. • Identify client needs, deliver proposals, and guide pursuit strategies with technical teams. • Lead Go/No Go reviews, ensuring alignment with pursuit champions and subject‑matter experts. • Manage market leaders and relationship managers, setting objectives and tracking KPIs for the business‑development team. • Coach and develop relationship managers, supporting annual plan creation and progress monitoring. • Coordinate with market, sector, client‑engagement, and business‑group leaders to align growth strategies. • Provide input on new business development targets and growth of existing client portfolios to the Regional GM.

What You Bring
Candidates must have at least 15 years of client development or account‑management experience, a track record of meeting business‑growth targets, and the ability to lead sales teams in a matrix environment. A bachelor’s degree is required; an MBA, DBIA certification, and deep knowledge of the East Coast infrastructure market are preferred.
