About the Role
The Facilities Manager – Healthcare for Rush University Medical Center reports to the Senior Facilities Manager and serves as the single point of contact for facilities management across a campus portfolio. The role includes operational and financial responsibility for multiple healthcare buildings, leading both direct and matrixed team members, and ensuring alignment with JLL’s standards of operational excellence. In this position you will oversee daily FM operations, supervise technical and administrative staff, spend significant time on‑site rounding in mechanical spaces, and lead teams to meet contract requirements while handling HR matters for the facilities team. You will also manage budgeting, track expenses, implement cost‑saving programs, achieve KPI and SLA targets, and drive continuous improvement. Client service includes producing reports, collaborating on end‑user experience, implementing JLL Experience concepts, and ensuring contractual commitments are met. Vendor and procurement responsibilities involve partnering with Sourcing, supporting diversity‑supplier initiatives, defining scopes, and managing supplier performance. • Act as single point of contact for daily facilities management operations across multiple campus buildings. • Supervise technical and administrative staff in a matrix environment to execute maintenance activities. • Allocate 50% of time on‑site, rounding in mechanical and other areas. • Lead management and maintenance teams to meet contract requirements. • Handle all JLL HR matters for the facilities team. • Establish and monitor annual budgets, tracking expenses per client processes. • Implement programs to reduce operating costs and boost productivity. • Achieve KPI targets and monitor SLAs to identify challenges. • Plan corrective actions and drive continuous improvement. • Manage finances within budget and time constraints with strong business acumen. • Produce and communicate client service reports with comprehensive oversight. • Collaborate with the Director of Experience Services to enhance end‑user experience. • Support implementation of JLL Experience concepts in assigned buildings. • Ensure all contractual commitments are fulfilled. • Represent JLL through partnership, performance, compliance, and relationship management. • Partner with Sourcing & Procurement to meet client needs and diversity supplier goals. • Participate in Anchor Mission commitments and governance requirements. • Define scope, coordinate supplier walkthroughs, and manage supplier performance. • Review portfolio scorecards and manage vendor relationships. • Maintain regular contact with HR for labor support, L&D, and leave planning. • Document HR activities per JLL and Workday guidelines. • Provide leadership and development opportunities for team members.

What You Bring
The role requires a bachelor’s degree or equivalent facilities‑management experience, at least eight years in a corporate or third‑party environment, strong financial planning and analysis skills, proven leadership and interpersonal abilities, and proficiency with MS Office, SharePoint, and CMMS platforms. Preferred qualifications include an MBA, direct healthcare‑facility experience, and knowledge of regulatory and compliance standards. • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent facilities management experience. • Minimum eight years in corporate or third‑party facilities environments. • Strong financial planning and analysis capabilities. • Proven leadership, organizational, and interpersonal skills. • Excellent presentation, oral, and written communication. • Proficiency with MS Office, SharePoint, and CMMS tools. • MBA for enhanced strategic management. • Direct healthcare facility experience with knowledge of CMS, IDPH, TJC regulations. • Knowledge of real estate, telecommunications, furniture, accounting, and building systems. • Experience with healthcare compliance and Joint Commission standards. • Understanding of patient‑care environment considerations.

Benefits
The position is based on‑site at Rush University Medical Center in Chicago, Illinois, with a Tuesday‑Saturday schedule and an estimated salary range of $91,000 to $112,000 per year. Visa sponsorship is not offered; candidates must be authorized to work in the United States.
