About the Role
The MCM Senior Project Manager will lead the Faro Mine Remediation Project, providing direction, procurement support, and contract management for major and minor construction, service, and site‑improvement activities under the Main Construction Manager (MCM) scope. The role ensures projects are completed on schedule, within or below budget, and in compliance with contractual obligations, while developing scope, managing commercial performance, and integrating engineering, procurement, and construction functions. Working on a rotational schedule of one week on‑site and three weeks off‑site, the manager acts as the company’s representative with clients and subcontractors, negotiates scope changes, and coordinates with the MCM Construction Director and Care & Maintenance Project Manager to align remediation and construction efforts. They mentor team members, assign responsibilities based on strengths, and oversee site staff to achieve project outcomes. • Represent Parsons with clients and subcontractors, negotiating scope changes and managing commitments. • Develop, plan, and integrate project scope with site remediation and construction activities. • Ensure compliance with Project Execution, Health & Safety, and QA/QC plans, updating them as needed. • Lead pre‑tender activities including constructability reviews, risk assessments, cost estimating, and procurement strategies. • Prepare RFPs, evaluate subcontractor proposals, negotiate contracts, and manage change orders. • Maintain accurate subcontractor tracking records, perform closeouts, and support handover to care and maintenance teams. • Monitor schedule, cost, and milestones; report progress and address potential overruns or delays. • Assign responsibilities to team members based on qualifications, providing mentorship and performance feedback. • Support business development by marketing and securing additional work with the client.

What You Bring
Candidates must hold a university degree in Engineering or Soil/Environmental Science and bring at least ten years of relevant experience; a project‑management certification is a plus. This position is part of Parsons’ Critical Infrastructure team, which designs and delivers essential projects that enhance community quality of life, economic growth, mobility, and sustainability. • Maintain Mine Rescue Certification if physically able. • Hold a university degree in Engineering or Soil/Environmental Science. • Bring at least 10 years of relevant experience; project‑management certification is a bonus.
