About the Role

• Lead a multi‑disciplinary team to deliver the clean water programme. • Ensure project delivery within agreed timeframes and budgets while maintaining technical excellence. • Act as primary client liaison, building strong relationships with client leadership. • Support business development by contributing to bids, fee proposals and service offers. • Review and sign‑off technical deliverables, calculations and reports.

What You Bring

The role is available in multiple UK locations, including Manchester, Birmingham, Bristol, Cardiff, Croydon, London, Cambridge, Reading, Brighton, Leeds and Exeter. The successful candidate must hold Chartered Engineer status (CEng) with a recognised professional institution, possess an understanding of conventional and innovative water‑treatment technologies, and have a proven record of engineering technical leadership. Significant experience in developing and delivering feasibility and outline design solutions within the UK water sector is essential, as is the ability to support bids, review technical deliverables and communicate effectively across multidisciplinary teams and with clients. Desirable qualities include team‑building experience, knowledge of sustainability and wastewater investment drivers, and excellent technical report writing skills. Mott MacDonald does not currently sponsor Skilled Worker visas due to recent UK Government changes. Candidates must be eligible for alternative UK immigration routes that do not require sponsorship. • Hold Chartered Engineer status (CEng) with a recognised professional institution. • Demonstrate deep knowledge of conventional and innovative water‑treatment technologies. • Proven record of engineering technical leadership in the UK water sector. • Experience delivering feasibility studies and outline designs for water projects. • Strong communication and collaboration skills across internal and client teams. • Ability to mentor and develop junior staff (desirable). • Understanding of sustainability drivers and wastewater treatment investment trends (desirable). • Excellent technical report writing in concise English (desirable).
