Plumber for occupied social housing, doing installations, repairs, and adaptations.

About the Role
• Perform planned plumbing works in occupied and void social housing, including full bathroom refurbishments and adaptations • Install flush‑floor (wet room) bathrooms, pipework alterations, and final fit‑out • Remove existing bathroom suites, make good areas, and install toilets, basins, level‑access showers, wastes, traps, and fittings • Modify, repair, or replace hot and cold water pipework and adapt drainage systems for flush‑floor showers • Carry out plumbing works for accessibility adaptations, meeting required standards and specifications • Diagnose and resolve issues with hot water systems, controls, and radiators during upgrades • Ensure all works comply with current plumbing regulations, manufacturer guidelines, and health & safety requirements • Record job details, materials used, and completion notes using handheld devices or job sheets • Liaise with supervisors and other trades to ensure timely, specification‑compliant completion • Maintain tools, equipment, and company vehicle in good working order • Work respectfully in residents’ homes, keeping the environment clean and safe • Identify and report additional works, defects, safeguarding concerns, or property issues encountered on site • Provide high levels of customer care, minimizing disruption to residents

What You Bring
All candidates must have the right to work in the UK, a full UK driving licence (over 21, held for at least three months, fewer than nine points), and will undergo background, identity and security checks. Applications can be submitted via the link below or by contacting Francesca Swan at [email protected]. • Proven experience in domestic plumbing repairs and maintenance; previous tiling experience preferred • Full UK driving licence, own hand and power tools, and ability to work independently • Strong fault‑finding, problem‑solving, and customer service skills • Ability to use handheld devices or job management systems for recording work • Willingness to participate in an out‑of‑hours emergency rota • City & Guilds 2330 Levels 2 and 3 qualification; fully competent in all plumbing works

Benefits
The position offers a salary of up to £33,500 per annum on a full‑time permanent basis, working 42.5 hours a week (Monday‑Friday, 8‑5). The role includes a company van and fuel card, and candidates must be based in or near Folkestone.
