About the Role

The Mechatronics & Robotics Technician supports the Operations Maintenance Team by repairing and maintaining material handling equipment and pneumatic systems throughout the building, as well as installing, maintaining and repairing automated packaging and distribution equipment. • Promote a safe work environment by following all safety procedures. • Perform preventive maintenance routines on material handling equipment and document results. • Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical issues on MHE such as belts, motors, photo‑eyes, and relays. • Create, assign, and close work orders, tracking labor hours, parts used, and equipment maintenance. • Manage department inventory and ensure parts availability. • Mentor junior technicians to develop their skills. • Maintain positive relationships with staff across the operations facility. • Use a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) for work order tracking. • Read and interpret blueprints and electrical schematics for repairs. • Apply electrical and electronic principles in troubleshooting and repairs. • Follow MHE safety standards and OEM guidelines. • Operate and maintain robotic equipment, troubleshooting basic I/O functions.

What You Bring

Basic qualifications include a high school diploma or equivalent, at least two years of experience repairing material handling equipment or automated conveyor systems, two years of predictive and preventative maintenance, one year of blueprint and electrical schematic reading, and experience with electrical principles and a CMMS. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and the ability to work flexible schedules are also required. Preferred qualifications are an associate’s or higher degree focused on mechanical or electrical fields, knowledge of MHE safety standards and OEM requirements, experience with robotic operation and maintenance, and the ability to troubleshoot basic input and output functions. Physical demands involve reaching overhead, kneeling, squatting, climbing ladders, using aerial lifts, and regularly lifting up to 50 lb, while wearing required PPE such as hard hats and composite toe shoes. The role requires movement between departments and floors, averaging 6 to 12 miles per day, and includes computer work for 1‑2 hours daily.
