About the Role

The General Foreman leads multiple crews to ensure vegetation management and line‑clearance projects are completed safely, on schedule, and to company standards. The role involves planning ahead, anticipating issues, and coordinating work across six to eight crews based on size and location. The foreman also serves as the primary liaison with customers, communicating project details, concerns, and procedures. • Enforce and model safe work practices per company policies. • Schedule crews, assign tasks, and ensure work is completed efficiently. • Maintain accurate written and electronic records and complete required paperwork. • Communicate project issues, procedures, and updates with customers and crew members. • Lead, train, and coach teams on proper natural and directional pruning techniques. • Operate vehicles and equipment safely; ensure tools and PPE are inspected and used correctly. • Conduct visual safety inspections during vegetation management and storm restoration efforts. • Interpret engineering drawings and adhere to line‑clearance contracts. • Participate in ongoing technical and leadership training. • Inspect and wear appropriate PPE; understand proper use of radios and hand tools. • Perform duties outdoors in inclement weather and adhere to all safety rules and company policies.

What You Bring

The position is non‑union, offers overtime as needed, and may require travel, work in inclement weather, and physical labor including lifting over 50 lb and working at heights. Employees are expected to follow all company safety rules, maintain equipment, and participate in ongoing training. • Adapt quickly to schedule changes and coordinate crew activities. • Minimum 5 years of relevant experience with a high school diploma or equivalent. • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and possess broad climbing and line‑clearance skills. • Strong work ethic, decision‑making ability, and excellent communication in English (Spanish a plus). • Valid driver’s license; Commercial Driver’s License preferred. • Knowledge of proper pruning techniques, equipment operation, and PPE usage. • Able to travel on short notice, work extended periods in various locations, lift >50 lb, and work overtime. • Capable of following directions, working at heights or confined spaces, and performing rigorous physical labor. • Team‑oriented, self‑motivated, and customer‑service focused. • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
