About the Role
The estimator will prepare and summarize bases of estimate, deliver comprehensive cost estimates that include contract terms, and define costs for general conditions and job delivery. They will use parametric historical data and both top‑down and bottom‑up approaches to develop probable costs, compare with similar contracts, and create scope sheets and requests for bids. Additional duties include assisting estimating leads with historical data management, evaluating contract risk and exposure, and assigning maximum cost and schedule impacts for potential risks. • Prepare material takeoffs from engineering drawings, plans, and specifications. • Review and validate takeoffs prepared by others for completeness and accuracy. • Develop detailed work breakdown structures (WBS) to define project scope. • Summarize bases of estimate, including scope, pricing, rates, assumptions, and escalation. • Deliver comprehensive cost estimates incorporating contract terms and conditions. • Estimate costs for general conditions and job execution in line with delivery plans. • Use parametric historical data and both top‑down and bottom‑up methods to forecast probable costs. • Create scope sheets and requests for bids/quotations for service providers. • Support estimating leads with historical data collection, evaluation, and documentation. • Assess contract documents for risk and assign maximum cost and schedule exposure.

What You Bring
Parsons is seeking a talented Quantity Surveyor/Estimator (Saudi National) to join the team. The role involves preparing material takeoffs from engineering drawings, reviewing takeoffs for completeness and accuracy, and developing detailed work breakdown structures to define project scope. The position requires a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management or a related field, at least four years of estimating experience, and proficiency with estimating database software.
