About the Role
The Project Manager I is accountable for the safety, direction, completion, and financial outcomes of construction projects from budgeting through closeout. Safety is a core value, and the manager must promote safe work practices while collaborating with all levels of project management and field supervision to set priorities and ensure quality. Key duties include estimating, value‑engineering, and developing budgets for projects ranging from $5 million to $20 million or multiple smaller jobs. The manager oversees the subcontractor bid process, negotiates subcontracts and material buyouts, creates master schedules, coordinates subcontractor activities, and monitors costs, quality, and safety throughout construction. Responsibilities also cover generating cost‑to‑complete reports, leading quality walks, and executing project closeout. Leadership responsibilities involve building relationships, motivating teams, providing clear direction, and mentoring less‑experienced staff. The manager must communicate effectively, both in writing and verbally, and support business development by interacting with clients, identifying new opportunities, and participating in presentations and project interviews. • Ensure project safety, quality, and financial performance from budgeting to closeout. • Estimate, value‑engineer, and develop budgets for $5M‑$20M projects or multiple smaller jobs. • Manage subcontractor bidding, negotiate contracts and material buyouts, and align agreements with owner terms. • Create and maintain master schedules, coordinate subcontractor activities, and monitor costs, labor, and equipment. • Generate cost‑to‑complete reports, lead quality walks, and develop project‑specific quality and safety plans. • Provide leadership through relationship building, team motivation, clear communication, and mentoring. • Support business development by engaging clients, identifying opportunities, and participating in presentations.

What You Bring
The position requires a B.S. in Construction, Engineering, or a related field (preferred) and at least seven years of relevant experience. Candidates should be self‑motivated, collaborative, customer‑focused, and able to maintain strong working relationships; experience in healthcare, K‑12, or higher‑education construction is a plus.
