Senior - Supervising Electrical Engineer
Lead electrical design, coordination, and project management for MEP projects.
Job Highlights
About the Role
• Represent the firm with clients, contractors, architects, and project team members. • Produce trade‑specific system designs using CAD/BIM, perform calculations, and coordinate with other trades. • Manage CAD/BIM and technical staff assigned to projects. • Estimate construction costs and assess feasibility using ROM. • Write engineering proposals under supervision. • Assume charge for the economic wellbeing of assigned projects and conduct business development activities. • Prepare due‑diligence reports and establish design standards and specifications. • Design large projects, prepare reports and specifications, and provide technical leadership. • Establish project budgets and schedules; network internally and externally. • Participate in QA/QC review of staff work. • Perform Engineer of Record duties, including calculations, equipment selection, system layout, field investigation, and construction administration. • Manage staff resources and review work. • Produce drawings that meet client requirements and standards. • Provide consulting services such as gap analyses and feasibility reports. • Address Errors & Omissions for the discipline.

Watch your work come to life on landmark projects around the world with Syska Hennessy Group, a global leader in consulting, engineering, and commissioning services that specialize in MEP, ICT, architectural lighting, vertical transportation, and commissioning, and we are seeking an experienced Senior Supervising Electrical Engineer for our Washington, DC team. • Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from an accredited university. • 8–14+ years experience in a consulting engineering firm. • Proficiency with Revit and the latest AutoCAD MEP. • Strong knowledge of applicable codes. • Experience with SKM software for short‑circuit coordination and arc‑flash studies (preferred). • Professional Engineer (PE) licensure required.
