Pre-Construction Procurement Manager

About the Role

As a Pre‑Construction Field Procurement Manager, you will be the primary procurement liaison for an assigned branch office, partnering with the HVAC Controls Sales Organization to develop accurate installation cost models. You will lead the creation of installation costing and manage the selection of third‑party subcontractors through supplier development, contract management, price negotiations, and working‑capital optimization. • Partner with sales to own subcontract installation pricing • Determine subcontracting strategy and qualify requirements • Develop baseline pricing using estimating tools • Source and evaluate third‑party subcontractor quotes • Create, host, and review RFPs • Maintain effective supplier and internal customer relationships

What You Bring

The role requires an organized professional with electrical or mechanical controls trade experience to implement multiple supply‑chain strategies that enable branch offices to procure subcontract labor efficiently. You will coordinate all operational procurement activities, ensure compliance with BOS procedures and DoA requirements, and maintain effective relationships with suppliers and internal customers. We seek candidates with 5‑8 years of project management and estimating experience in HVAC controls construction, a bachelor’s degree or equivalent electrical industry experience, and strong computer skills (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project). Required competencies include procurement expertise, cost analysis, excellent verbal and written communication, interpersonal collaboration, initiative, ownership, and the ability to plan and adapt in a changing environment. • 5‑8 years project management/estimating in HVAC controls or trades • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent electrical industry experience • Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Project • Procurement expertise with cost analysis and financial acumen • Excellent verbal and written communication skills • Strong interpersonal and collaborative abilities • Initiative, decision‑making, and ownership mindset • Planning, goal setting, and adaptability in changing environments
