About the Role

The Industrial Market Sector Leader drives program growth by shaping client development, market diversification, and talent recruitment. This role collaborates with local, regional, and national leaders to align resources, secure new revenue, and ensure the delivery of high‑quality projects that address complex client challenges. • Grow, monitor, and execute HDR's Industrial services portfolio; partner with business development leaders to anticipate market trends and diversify work. • Identify and pursue services such as consulting, advisory, owners engineering, asset management, due diligence, and planning for target clients in mining, agribusiness, oil & gas, and advanced manufacturing. • Network with clients to formulate, assess, and implement development projects. • Establish external teaming relationships to support program growth. • Develop industry relationships and represent HDR in industry associations and community organizations. • Provide leadership and project management to ensure appropriate staffing and quality execution; serve as Principal‑in‑Charge on select projects. • Coordinate with Business Group Manager, Industrial Practice Leaders, and Business Development Leaders to align resources, expertise, and marketing efforts. • Drive client growth locally and regionally, including recruiting and hiring staff to support business development and marketing plans. • Coordinate with local operations and business group leadership for work‑sharing initiatives. • Lead and motivate staff to meet growth goals.

What You Bring

• PE License (preferred qualification). • PMP Certification (preferred qualification). • Bachelor's degree in engineering, planning, or a related field. • Minimum of 10 years of industry experience. • Experience developing and managing strategic marketing programs for planning and/or engineering services. • Experience managing a wide range of client relationships and project pursuits. • Experience in staff development, recruiting, career path planning, and professional growth. • Active involvement with industry associations and a visible market sector profile. • Ability to collaborate with various HDR directors and managers. • Demonstrated commitment to HDR values and the employee‑owned culture.
