About the Role
The Driver‑CDL (B) safely operates a collection truck to provide prompt, courteous, and complete waste removal services for customers. The role includes ensuring the vehicle meets the company’s safety standards before each shift, adhering to all company, state, and federal regulations while driving, and completing daily vehicle condition reports to address any defects promptly. Drivers perform thorough pre‑ and post‑operation inspections, checking tire pressure, fluid levels, safety equipment, gauges, and controls, and report any safety issues using standard forms. They operate manual or automatic controls to lift, load, compact, and transport refuse, following the assigned route sheet, maps, and dispatcher directions to each disposal site. While on the route, drivers courteously interact with customers, dispatchers, and colleagues to ensure timely service, identify and tag unsatisfactory waste containers, monitor waste for prohibited materials, and clean accidental spills in accordance with safety policies. They also keep the truck clean, remove waste from the packer blade and body, and continuously monitor vehicle condition to minimize downtime. Drivers complete required route and productivity sheets, vehicle condition reports, and other documentation, maintaining department productivity standards and adhering to all safety policies, including participation in the Company’s ReSOP program. Additional duties may be assigned as needed.

What You Bring
The position requires strong customer‑service skills, professional and cooperative conduct, effective time management, and the ability to follow schedules and resolve challenges promptly. A minimum qualification is a Class B (or higher) Commercial Driver’s License with an air‑brake endorsement.
