About the Role

The Senior Manager of Application Development is a people‑first leader responsible for a team of more than 50 architects, developers, designers, and support specialists located on‑shore in Connecticut and remote U.S. locations as well as offshore partners. The role oversees the full lifecycle of enterprise applications—from architecture and design through development, testing, and deployment—to ensure stability, performance, and scalability across platforms. It also sets technical standards, drives engineering excellence, and implements Agile best practices while managing budgets and resource allocation. The manager provides expert technical and functional leadership across .NET, Salesforce, and Microsoft Dynamics 365, guiding architectural decisions and solution design. They define the future‑state application architecture, ensuring modernization, integration maturity, and alignment with enterprise standards, and partner with corporate infrastructure teams for system maintenance, security, and environment readiness. Planning and execution of development initiatives are led by the manager, including design proposals, sizing, and alignment with business value. They assign and review work, allocate resources, and ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and integrated with other software applications. Close collaboration with the PMO supports capacity planning, forecasting, and workforce utilization across on‑shore and off‑shore teams. The manager acts as the escalation point for high‑impact issues and cross‑platform failures, ensuring partners adhere to SLAs, provide root‑cause analysis, and participate in performance reviews. They oversee DevOps activities, including environment setup, tooling, branching strategy, and deployment pipelines, while championing Agile practices to improve delivery speed, quality, and team performance. Governance responsibilities include managing audit requests, SOX compliance, change control, security reviews, and user access across all applications. Vendor management involves overseeing development partners, enforcing contractual commitments, and ensuring performance through governance and accountability measures. • Lead and develop a hybrid team of 50+ architects, developers, designers, and support specialists across on‑shore and offshore locations • Oversee full application lifecycle—from architecture and design to testing, deployment, and support handover—to ensure stability and scalability • Define and evolve enterprise architecture for .NET, Salesforce, and Microsoft Dynamics 365, aligning with modernization and integration goals • Partner with corporate infrastructure teams to coordinate system maintenance, security, and environment readiness • Plan, prioritize, and execute development initiatives, creating design proposals, sizing, and business value alignment • Allocate resources, assign work, and monitor project progress to meet time, budget, and integration requirements • Collaborate with the PMO on capacity planning, forecasting, and workforce utilization for on‑shore and off‑shore teams • Build and maintain a multi‑year technology modernization roadmap addressing capability gaps, cloud strategy, and data integration • Prioritize architectural initiatives based on ROI, feasibility, and alignment with WM Digital’s long‑term strategy • Serve as escalation point for high‑impact incidents, ensuring SLA compliance, root‑cause analysis, and continuous improvement • Lead DevOps practices, including environment setup, tooling, branching strategy, and automated deployment pipelines • Champion Agile methodologies to accelerate delivery speed, improve quality, and boost team performance • Manage SOX compliance, audit requests, change control, security reviews, and user access across all applications • Oversee vendor partners, enforce contractual commitments, and drive performance through governance reviews • Ensure budgeting accuracy, monitor expenditures, forecast costs, and achieve cost‑effective results • Perform typical office tasks involving repetitive motions, coordination, and occasional travel requiring a REAL ID
