What You Bring
The Graduate Software Engineer role is based mainly in Glasgow, with alternative locations in Birmingham, Manchester, Newcastle, Cambridge, London and Southampton. Some positions may require security clearance, which is limited to UK nationals or residents of five years or more. Candidates must have less than 12 months of relevant experience and hold (or expect) a bachelor’s degree obtained no earlier than 2024 in computer science, software engineering or a related discipline with significant Java, C# or Python content and solid OOP knowledge. Mott MacDonald does not sponsor Skilled Worker visas and cannot consider candidates on the Graduate visa route or other time‑limited visas, but we welcome applicants eligible for alternative immigration routes that do not require future sponsorship. • Communicate effectively and clearly with clients and colleagues. • Deliver high‑quality written work with strong attention to detail and clarity. • Demonstrate a structured and analytical approach to problem solving.
