About the Role

The Full Stack Engineer III serves as a lead technical resource at Republic Services, participating in all phases of the development life cycle. This role analyzes complex business logic, configures and tunes applications, and helps shape the company’s digital future while enforcing software development standards and best practices for web development. Key responsibilities include leading the development of responsive web applications, designing maintainable component solutions, and leveraging new technologies to achieve business outcomes. The engineer works cross‑functionally with Integration, QA, Operations, and business teams, and mentors junior engineers to uphold standards. • Lead development of next‑generation responsive web applications. • Design component solutions that reduce maintenance and accelerate time‑to‑market. • Analyze, configure, and tune digital applications across the full stack. • Leverage new technologies to solve problems and achieve business outcomes. • Collaborate with Integration, QA, Operations, and business teams. • Mentor and coach junior engineers on standards and best practices. • Apply agile Scrum methodologies throughout the software development lifecycle. • Write, debug, test, release, and provide operational support for software. • Utilize JavaScript, TypeScript, Node.js, Java, Bootstrap/Material Design, CSS, HTML, and SASS.

What You Bring

Candidates must have experience with agile Scrum methodologies and the full software development lifecycle, from design through operational support. Required technical expertise includes JavaScript, TypeScript, Node.js, Java, Bootstrap or Material Design, CSS, HTML, and SASS. A bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field and at least five years of software development experience are required. • Hold a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field (or equivalent experience). • Possess at least five years of software development experience in mission‑critical, multi‑user applications.
