About the Role
The Sr. Mechatronics & Robotics Technician leads service technicians in installing and repairing automated packaging and distribution equipment, designs solutions for complex problems, and manages related projects. The role also involves training and mentoring service and contract technicians while ensuring a safe work environment. • Lead service technicians in installing and repairing automated packaging and distribution equipment. • Design solutions for complex mechanical/electrical problems and manage associated projects. • Train, mentor, and develop service and contract technicians. • Maintain, troubleshoot, and audit conveyor systems and preventative maintenance procedures. • Install and service control components such as relay logic, motor starters, sensors, and solenoids. • Create and close work orders with accurate labor, parts, and equipment data. • Develop training plans and emergency repair work plans for critical assets. • Travel up to 20 % and lift/move items up to 49 lb; stand or walk for shifts up to 12 hours.

What You Bring
Required qualifications include a high school diploma, 3+ years of preventative maintenance experience, proficiency in reading blueprints and schematics, and 2+ years of work‑order management. Preferred qualifications feature an associate degree in mechanical or electrical fields, 5+ years with automated conveyors and controls, leadership experience, and familiarity with robotic maintenance and CMMS. The position demands physical stamina, including lifting up to 49 lb, standing or walking for up to 12‑hour shifts, and working in confined or noisy environments with exposure to dust, fumes, temperature extremes, and vibration. Compensation is estimated at $72,800 annually, based on location in Niagara Falls, NY.
