About the Role
As a Shift Leader, you will supervise the team's progress against production work plans, ensuring the safe and proper use of machinery, equipment, and production lines. You will work closely with the Production Manager to maintain an effective work environment, reinforce production schedules, and uphold quality standards. Key duties include preparing contract reviews and dimension sheets, generating die drawings based on customer specifications, and handling procurement through the supply‑chain management system. You will schedule production in coordination with order handlers, create and process production orders in SAP/ECS, and monitor daily output to meet commitments. You will drive participation in quality management and safety initiatives, maintain documentation such as SOPs, work instructions, and hazard reports, and lead daily management meetings. Additionally, you will provide feedback to management on line organization, priority shifts, and critical incidents, while overseeing staff adjustments for vacations, illnesses, or machine outages. The role requires compliance with all relevant health, safety, and regulatory guidelines, reflecting Hitachi Energy’s core values of safety and integrity. You will also ensure that all activities adhere to internal procedures and external regulations. • Supervise shift team and ensure safe operation of machinery and production lines. • Coordinate work plans with Production Manager and enforce schedules and quality standards. • Prepare contract reviews, dimension sheets, and die drawings; manage procurement via SCM. • Schedule production, create and process production orders in SAP/ECS, and monitor daily output. • Lead QMS and safety activities, maintain SOPs, work instructions, and hazard documentation. • Conduct daily management meetings and provide feedback on line organization and priority shifts. • Manage staff adjustments for vacations, illness, machine outages, and shifting priorities. • Act as shift leader to resolve technical, quality, and logistic issues while maintaining records. • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and internal/external regulatory guidelines.

What You Bring
The ideal candidate holds a diploma in Mechanical or Electrical engineering, has at least five years of production experience in shift‑based continuous processes (up to ten years total), and possesses strong analytical, organizational, and leadership abilities. Proficiency with MS Office, databases, and preferably the SAP PP module, as well as fluency in Kannada and English, is required. • Hold a diploma in Mechanical or Electrical engineering with 5–10 years of shift‑based production experience. • Demonstrate strong analytical, organizational, and leadership skills; proficiency in MS Office and databases. • Preferable knowledge of SAP PP module; fluent in Kannada and English.
